Here in Melbourne we’re well and truly into Autumn now, with cooler nights, rainy days and leaves scattered on the pavement.ย Autumn and Spring are always such highly underrated seasons; I love the lack of extremes we experience in Summer and Winter.
As the seasons change, it’s also the perfect time to shake up your usual recipe and meal prep go-to’s based on what’s in season locally. Eating seasonally is great for two main reasons. The first of which is that you’re eating food that’s at it’s peak freshness so you’re eating it when it’s best for quality and taste. The second being that it’s also in peak supply so it’s also generally cheaper as there’s less cost to farmers and distributors to get to the store.
