Eloments Tea Review

Meet Eloments tea, the world’s first 100% natural and organic vitamin tea! We all love relaxing and sipping a hot, fresh cup of tea…and now Eloments founder’s Nicole and Julie have upped the tea game by adding 9 different essential vitamins and minerals to supercharge your daily cup! It’s no secret I love a spruced up drink, so I was excited to learn about and try this range.

Available in five delicious flavours of double lemon, summer orange, egyptian mint, bourbon vanilla and ceylon breakfast, each cup is also loaded with 9 essential vitamins and minerals. Each tea bag contains over 40% off you daily recommended intake of vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, C and zinc and they’ve also been lab tested to ensure that the quality of the vitamins remains the same at brewing temperatures.

Unlike a lot of supplements and vitamins which are generally available, the Eloments team also ensured that natural, not synthetic, vitamins were used and sourced from holy basil, amla (some of my fave adaptogens), annatoo, guava, sesbania and lemon.

B Vitamins

B Vitamins are essential for our bodies and help us to create energy by using the fuel from the food we eat, and also play other vital roles in our bodies, such as helping cells to multiply and making new DNA.

Aside from B12 and folate (B9) which are stored in the liver, our bodies have a limited capacity to store them, so it’s important they’re regularly consumed. While they are water soluable, they can also be delicate and easily destroyed by cooking and food processing – which is why it’s important that the brand tested these products.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)

  • Helps to convert glucose into energy
  • Supports healthy nerve function

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

  • Main role is to support energy function
  • Also aids in skin and eye health

Vitamin B3 (Niacin)

  • Essential for converting carbs and fat into energy
  • Supports healthy digestive and nervous systems
  • Maintains skin health

Vitamin B5 (Panthothenic acid)

  • Also needed for converting carbs and fat into energy
  • Helps our bodies produce red blood cells and hormones

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)

  • Essential for protein and carbohydrate metabolism
  • Helps our bodies produce red blood cells and hormones
  • Brain booster, helping us to create certain brains chemicals and affects brain processes and developments
  • Also helps to boost immune function

Vitamin B7 (Biotin)

  • Essential for energy and amino acid metabolism, as well as fat and glucogen synthesis
  • However, over consumption can lead to raised cholesterol levels

Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid/Folate)

  • Essential for the creation of red blood cells, which carry oxygen around the body
  • Aids in DNA synthesis and cell growth
  • Essential for pregnant women as it helps the development of the foetal nervous system

Vitamin C

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is probably one of the most well known vitamins when it comes to our overall health and boosting our immune system. It is important for:

  • Helping our bodies prevent and fight infections
  • Wound healing
  • Aiding in the absorption of iron from food
  • Healthy skin, bones and connective tissue

Zinc

Zinc is another essential nutrient which our bodies can’t store or produce, so everyone needs a constant dietary supply of. It’s responsible for a number of roles in our body, including:

  • Aiding our immune system
  • DNA synthesis
  • Wound healing
  • Protein synthesis
  • Growth and development

Eloments Tea Review

One thing I also really love is at the heart of the Eloments brand is their belief in creating a product with an ethically sourced and fairtrade supply chain. It’s something which can easily be overlooked as a consumer, but it’s important to consider where we are spending our money and the type of business and practices which we choose to support. Thankfully, there’s becoming more and more awareness about this side of the business, and also more brands, like Eloments, stepping up and creating ethical brands. You can read more about Fair Trade from the brand here.

Back to the tea, the ingredients have all been approved by an Australian certified dietician – so you know you’re also getting quality tea which does what it says on the label! So overall for me, this brand get a big tick – delicious tasty tea packed with essential vitamins and all organic and ethically sourced!
